Creamy White Lasagna is a heartwarming dish that combines layers of velvety béchamel sauce, rich ricotta, and gooey mozzarella, all nestled between tender lasagna noodles. Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles: 12 sheets (fresh or no-boil)
  • Ricotta Cheese: 2 cups (whole milk)
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese: 3 cups (whole milk)
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese: 1 cup (freshly grated)
  • Heavy Cream: 2 cups
  • Fresh Spinach: 2 cups (chopped, or 1 cup frozen)
  • Garlic: 4 cloves (minced)
  • Unsalted Butter: 4 tbsp
  • All-Purpose Flour: ¼ cup
  • Nutmeg: ¼ tsp
  • Salt & Pepper: to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter until bubbly. Stir in flour and cook for about two minutes until golden brown. Gradually whisk in heavy cream while stirring continuously until thickened.
  3. Add minced garlic to the béchamel sauce and cook for one minute. Finish with nutmeg.
  4. Spread a thin layer of béchamel in a baking dish, layer with noodles, ricotta mixture (mix ricotta with chopped spinach), and more béchamel. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
