Ingredients

For the Milkshake
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream Use high-quality ice cream for best flavor.
  • 2 cups whole milk Room temperature for easier blending.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup Adjust to taste; use a thick syrup for a richer flavor.
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream For topping; homemade or store-bought.
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate shavings For garnish; optional.

Method

Prepare the Milkshake
  1. In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream and whole milk. Start with 2 cups of milk, and you can adjust later for desired thickness.
  2. Add the chocolate syrup to the blender. Blend on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This should take about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  3. If the milkshake is too thick, add more milk, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Once blended, taste the milkshake and add more chocolate syrup if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
Serve the Milkshake
  1. Pour the milkshake into tall glasses, filling them about 3/4 full.
  2. Top each milkshake with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for an extra touch of elegance and flavor.
  4. Serve immediately with straws and enjoy your delicious chocolate milkshake!

For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of sea salt to enhance the chocolate taste. You can also substitute chocolate ice cream for a more intense chocolate experience.
