Ingredients

For the Dip
  • 8 oz Boursin cheese room temperature for easy mixing
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin for best flavor
  • 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar optional for added tang
For Serving
  • 1 bag baguette sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for brushing

Method

Prepare the Dip
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar (if using). Mix well with a spatula until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. This ensures that each bite is flavorful.
  2. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference, as the Boursin cheese is already quite flavorful.
  3. Transfer the dip to a serving dish and set aside while you prepare the baguette slices.
Prepare the Baguette
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This will help to crisp the baguette slices.
  2. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil. This will help them toast evenly and add flavor.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Serve
  1. Serve the Boursin bruschetta dip alongside the toasted baguette slices. Encourage guests to scoop the dip onto the baguette for a delicious bite.
  2. Enjoy immediately while the baguette is warm and the dip is fresh!
