  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 green onions, sliced thinly

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti or linguine and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add cooked noodles to the skillet with garlic butter. Pour in soy sauce and sprinkle sugar, tossing gently until noodles are evenly coated.
  4. If noodles seem dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired creaminess is reached.
  5. Remove from heat and toss in sliced green onions before serving hot.
