  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup pure honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 3 green onions (sliced thinly)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by combining soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a bowl. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and cook each side until golden brown and cooked through (6-7 minutes per side).
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and pour in leftover marinade. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened, then return the chicken to coat evenly.
  4. Fluff cooked rice and divide into bowls. Top with sliced chicken and drizzle with teriyaki sauce.
  5. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
