Ingredients
Scale
4 large egg whites (room temperature)
1 cup granulated sugar (preferably super-fine)
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)
4 oz dark chocolate (high-quality, melted)
Mini eggs or candy-coated chocolates (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 225°F (110°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a clean bowl, whip the egg whites on medium speed until frothy. Gradually add sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.
Gently fold in sifted cocoa powder until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the meringue.
Scoop dollops of meringue onto baking sheets and create wells in each mound with a spoon.
Bake for 1 hour until dry and crisp; turn off the oven and let nests cool inside.
Fill cooled nests with melted dark chocolate and top with mini eggs or candies.
