Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté the shrimp for about 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Pour in the heavy cream while stirring gently. Once warmed, whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet along with the drained pasta; toss everything together until well-coated in the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese or parsley if desired.
