Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs London Broil (flank or top round)
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1. Marinate the meat: In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, balsamic vinegar, black pepper, and herbs. Place the London Broil in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour (overnight is recommended).
  2. 2. Preheat your grill: Heat your grill to medium-high (425°F / 220°C).
  3. 3. Prepare for cooking: Remove the meat from the marinade and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before grilling.
  4. 4. Grill the meat: Grill for 5–7 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness (135°F / 57°C). Adjust cooking time based on preference.
  5. 5. Let it rest: Remove from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for at least ten minutes.
  6. 6. Slice and serve: Cut against the grain into thin strips and serve with vegetables or salad.
