  • 4 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add milk and eggs until smooth.
  2. Skewer: Insert wooden skewers into each hot dog and cheese stick.
  3. Coat & Fry: Dip skewered hot dogs into the batter and fry in preheated oil (350°F) until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  4. Drain & Serve: Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve with ketchup and mustard.
