  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (plus more for drizzling)

  • 2 whole wheat pita breads
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the chickpeas. For ultra-smooth hummus, optionally peel the skins off.
  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. While blending, drizzle in olive oil until you achieve desired creaminess. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut pita bread into triangles. Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve the hummus in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle paprika on top, and arrange pita chips around it.
