Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into golf-ball-sized meatballs.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and brown the meatballs on all sides (5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, sauté chopped onions until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in crushed tomatoes and add enough water or broth to cover. Bring to a simmer before returning the meatballs to the pot.
  5. Add uncooked spaghetti directly into the pot, stirring occasionally until al dente (about 10-12 minutes). Serve hot with extra Parmesan if desired.
