Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast: In a large bowl, combine warm water and sugar; stir until dissolved. Sprinkle yeast over top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix Ingredients: Add salt and half of the flour into the yeast mixture. Stir until combined, then gradually mix in remaining flour until slightly sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the Dough: Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a damp towel, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Shape Rolls: Punch down the dough gently, divide it into small balls (about 2 inches wide), and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Final Rise & Bake: Cover rolls with a towel again and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) while they rise. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
