Description

High Protein Spinach Artichoke Pizza is a guilt-free, flavorful twist on a classic favorite that’s perfect for any occasion. Enjoy a deliciously nutritious slice without compromising on taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole wheat pizza dough (12-inch)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained
  • 4 oz low-fat cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté fresh spinach and drained artichoke hearts until the spinach wilts (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. In a bowl, mix low-fat cream cheese with garlic powder and oregano until smooth; this will be your sauce.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pizza dough. Top with sautéed spinach and artichokes, followed by shredded mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired, slice, and serve.
