  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg (beaten for wash)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. Halve the jalapeños lengthwise, removing seeds for milder poppers. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. 4. Lay out the puff pastry on a floured surface, cut strips, and wrap around each stuffed jalapeño half like mummy bandages.
  5. 5. Place on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg wash, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
