2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole milk
2 large eggs
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter; mix until combined.
Incorporate eggs until a soft dough forms. If sticky, add more flour gradually.
On a floured surface, knead the dough gently for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into squares.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry dough squares until golden brown on both sides (about 1-2 minutes each).
Drain on paper towels and dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
