  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp chili flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, lime juice, brown sugar, black pepper, and chili flakes. Place flank steak in a resealable bag and pour marinade over it. Seal tightly and marinate in the fridge for at least one hour or overnight for best results.
  2. Heat grill to medium-high (400°F/200°C).
  3. Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  4. Transfer steak to a cutting board and rest for about 10 minutes.
  5. Slice against the grain into thin strips and drizzle with any leftover marinade or serve with your choice of sides.
