1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups water
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and cocoa powder with water over low heat. Stir until fully dissolved and smooth (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Allow the mixture to cool completely.
Transfer the cooled mixture to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer instructions until thickened (approximately 20 minutes).
Transfer the churned sorbet into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
