  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture; fold in dried cherries and chocolate chips.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers look slightly underbaked.
