  • 4 cups russet potatoes, peeled and sliced (about 4 medium potatoes)
  • 2 cups cooked ham, diced
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions until translucent.
  3. Layer half the potato slices in the baking dish, followed by half of the ham and half of the cheese. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  4. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream with garlic powder and pepper; pour evenly over layered ingredients.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for about 50 minutes. Remove foil in the last 10 minutes to allow cheese to bubble and brown.
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
