  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, and basil. Mix until creamy.
  4. Fill each shell with about 1 tablespoon of the ricotta mixture and arrange in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
