  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 cup flaky pastry dough (store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and coconut flakes; mix until evenly coated.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the pastry dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4-inch squares.
  4. Spoon the apple mixture onto each square; fold diagonally to form triangles and seal edges with a fork.
  5. Brush each samoa with melted butter and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving; drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
